Who Am I?
In this first phase of BEACON, students get to know more about themselves, their core values, interests, strengths and areas for growth. Through journaling and storytelling they discover who they are and what they might pursue for their future.
EXPLORATION
Career Exploration & Mentor Match
In this second phase of BEACON, students explore careers of interest and get matched with mentors in those fields who can share real world knowledge, day to day experiences, academic requirements and project based learning.
ACTION
Create a Plan
In this third and final phase of BEACON, students develop a five year plan for themselves, learn about money management, effective communication skills, leadership development, interview skills and more. Students continue their relationship with their mentors who may be able to connect them with work opportunities and experience.
